Andthis time again, Sohail Khan has brought to the audiences the forgotten saga ofthe Indian farmers with Kisaan, a film by Sohail Khan Productions. With brotherArbaaz Khan in the lead role, the film also stars Jackie Shroff, Dia Mirza,Nauheed Cyrusi and Sohail himself.
What makes the film very specialfor Sohail apart from the strong content, script and music is something that henoticed while shooting for this film in Punjab. It was during this one monthschedule that Sohail realised that all the farmers and their families werecouples and families aged 40 years and above and the children in this particularvillage were aged between one and 14 years.
On inquiring from theelders, Sohail found out that the middle age group was missing and no one inthat age bracket was living in the villages. All the youngsters of thatgeneration had either sold their lands or migrated to live in towns and citiesfor a better lifestyle. Some of these youngsters had even left their familiesfor good.
This gave Sohail all the more motivation to attempt andconvey through Kisaan the great works and ideas of older generations to theyouth.
