‘Social media should be her choice’: Varun Dhawan on why he hasn’t revealed daughter Lara’s face yet

Varun Dhawan and his wife Natasha Dalal welcomed their daughter, Lara, on June 3, 2024. However, the couple has remained firm about keeping her away from the limelight. Even after more than a year, they continue to share only partial glimpses of their little one, carefully avoiding a full-face reveal on social media or during public appearances—signalling their clear preference for protecting Lara’s privacy despite intense curiosity from fans and paparazzi.On Tuesday, Varun interacted with fans during a Q&A session on X. When a social media user asked him about his decision not to reveal his daughter’s face, the actor replied, “I would rather leave that decision to her. Social media should be her choice, not something I decide for her.” Speaking about his upcoming film, Varun said, “Border 2 is based on the 1971 war, and as we all know, it was a war filled with a lot of casualties on both sides. There were many sacrifices made by our soldiers to win, so there are some amazing stories.”Meanwhile, on the work front, Varun Dhawan will be seen in Border 2 alongside Sunny Deol, Ahan Shetty, and Diljit Dosanjh in lead roles. Directed by Anurag Singh, the film also stars Mona Singh, Medha Rana, Sonam Bajwa, and Anya Singh.The war drama is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series in association with J.P. Dutta’s J.P. Films and is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta. Border 2 is scheduled to release in theatres on January 23.
