Sky’s the limit for Masumeh!

As the affable, middle-class Maharashtrian mulgi trying to make it big in the glam world, Masumeh won over the audiences with her heartfelt performance. And the actress hasnt looked back since embarking on this roller-coaster ride in Bollyland.
1x1 polls

Her much-appreciated performance was followed up with another small, but interesting role in Maqbool. And though, her upward journey took a backseat with her films that followed not making the cash registers at the BO jingle, the spunky lass soon bounced back with a vengeance.
And after setting the temperatures soaring in Dus Kahaniyan, shes now all set to wow the audiences with her forthcoming films thatll witness the gradual morphing of the actress into her sizzling avatar. Excited about the mixed fare in her kitty including Sanjay Guptas Alibaug, she says, Im in a very interesting phase of my life. I have lots to look forward to and I am very happy with the kind of work coming my way.
The sexy gal is also being wooed for a couple of international films and though shes tight-lipped about those films, buzz is that they are quite prestigious projects. The actress has also recently done a photoshoot for an Italian magazine, which she reveals was a lovely experience. With so much to look forward to, the last thing on her mind are some of her previous films that failed to rake in the moolah.
The success or failure of my films, does not reflect my success or failure as an actor. There are a lot of elements at play apart from an actors performance. As an actor, I always try to improve my performance and strive to put in my best. But then after youve given in your 100 per cent, theres nothing more you can do about it, she says.

Not among the ones to brood over hits or flops, Masumeh reveals that shes ready to take things at her own pace. Im in no hurry and am ready to wait for the right projects to come my way, she adds. So, what are the kind of roles that make her tick? Anything thats interesting. The length and genre dont matter. I love action as much as I love romancing and dancing, says the self-confessed romantic.
A qualified Kathak dancer, shes as much at ease with the Indian classical dance form as shes with Salsa, jazz and even belly-dancing! But thats not all, the petite actress is also learning a rare form of martial arts called Maoy Thai. Its a Thai version of kick-boxing where there is direct contact with the opponent, she explains. Having been injured several times while training has only made her more determined to perfect the craft. I love overcoming challenges. The tougher, the better, she quips.
And thats what also prompted the actress who believes in living life to the fullest to pursue her passion for adventure as well. On a professional high, shes literally taking to the skies! Masumeh has enrolled to become a trained pilot. Flying is a dream shes harboured ever since she was a little girl and is only too happy to finally get a go at it. Seems like skys certainly the limit for this go-getter.
