Sky Force Trailer OUT: Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya aim for the sky: video inside

After a series of not so successful films in 2024 , Akshay Kumar is all set to kickstart the new year with his delayed project Sky Force. The film was slated to release in 2024 but will now be hitting the silver screen during the Republic Day weekend. Watch the teaser here:


The film is based on India’s retaliation attack on Pakistani Airbase on Sargodha. Back in 1965, Indian and Pakistani Air Forces came into direct confrontation, where on 6th September, Pakistani forces attacked Indian air bases at Pathankot and Halwara, and in response Indian forces attacked Sargodha. Back in those days, Sargodha was considered to be one of the most fortified bases in the whole of Asia, despite that Indian pilots carried out the attack the very next day causing severe damage to Pakistan’s most protected base.The story of Sargodha is an important one to be told as it is the only time, when the Indian Air Force awarded Maha Vir Chakra posthumously to one of the fighters.


The film also marks the debut of Veer Pahariya who plays the important role of Sq. Ldr. Ajjamada Boppayya Devayya who was awarded the Maha Vir Chakra for his sacrifice in the battlefield and saving the lives of his team members . The film also features Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan.


The film is directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur and is backed by Dinesh Vijan.
