Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina became friends while shooting for 'Baar Baar Dekho'

Now that 'Baar Baar Dekho' is all set to hit the silver screen on September 9, its lead actor Sidharth Malhotra looks quite excited. He is hopeful that since he is acting with Katrina Kaif for the first time, their onscreen chemistry will definitely work its magic on people. The actor was quoted as saying that whenever you work with somebody for the first time, the impact is bound to be different speaking in the context of his romance with Kat in the movie.

Sidharth makes no secret of the fact that he had a massive crush on Katrina.They became friends while shooting for the movie. 'The only reason we managed to pull off some intimate scenes was because of the fact that director Nitya Mehra waited for the right time to shoot the sequences. The first schedule was strategically placed, at a time when both Katrina and Sid were not getting along. As per the demand of the script, Katrina had to maintain distance from him. And when the intimate scenes were to be shot, both the actors warmed up to each other and did the scene without any problem.
When asked if he feels typecast by working with Karan Johar, Sid says that we shouldn't read too much into it. 'If I can do movies like 'Kapoor & Sons', I can do any movie with any banner. Yes, I share a special bond with Dharma production because they have given actors like me, Varun and Ali a platform to show our talent.
