The film is directed by Calcutta-based Q, quite the darling of the indie circuit having caused a stir with groundbreaking hits like Tasher Desh and Gandu. The film is produced by Steve Barron who’s other comedies include Dan Akroyd’s Coneheads and Mike Bassett - England Manager.
The movie’s plot is centered on the quizzer’s scene in India in the early eighties and is a smart teen comedy in the vein of the British hit The In-betweeners from 2011. Apparently the film has Sid in the key role with four new actors being cast in pivotal roles alongside him. Shashank Arora of Titli fame plays the character of Naman. While Sid could not be contacted for a comment on the same, his spokesperson confirmed the development.
