Siddharth Anand, who made cooking look cool in Salaam Namastey, has himself turned a restaurateur. The filmmaker has partnered the original franchisee of a popular lounge in Worli that has won several awards for the best Italian food in the city. The second outlet will open at Santacruz by the end of month.
A source from the lounge told us, "Siddharth was keen on an outlet in the suburbs.
He met up with the owners and shared the idea and they readily agreed."
The source revealed the Santacruz place will be a 100-seater and Siddharth will be hosting a launch party very soon. "A food preview has already been done with Siddharth's close friends. His first love however is filmmaking," added the source.
Upon sending a text message to Siddharth, he replied, "It's true but I wouldn't like to divulge any details."
