Siddhant Chaturvedi to portray V. Shantaram in biopic; Fardeen Khan in key role - Reports

Bollywood is preparing to pay homage to the iconic filmmaker V. Shantaram with an upcoming biopic. Siddhant Chaturvedi will headline the film, while Fardeen Khan will portray a vital character. Produced by Kiran Shantaram, the movie aims to showcase the filmmaker’s amazing impact on Indian cinema.According to Pinkvilla, the team is quite excited about this project and is leaving no stone unturned to bring V. Shantaram’s legacy alive on the big screen. Siddhant has already done a photoshoot for a look test, and the resemblance is striking. The film will go on floors in the next couple of months. Shantaram was married thrice, and hence, 3 actresses will come on board to play his wives in the film. The filmmaker’s first marriage was to Vimla, after which he wed actress Jayashree, with whom he had two children. Later, he married Sandhya. Fondly remembered as Annasaheb, Shantaram passed away in Mumbai on October 30, 1990, survived by his three wives and seven children.V.
