Sibling revelry hits Bollywood

The hard work of one''s sibling makes things all that easier," says Arzoo, who features in the Hinglish venture <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Enjoy</span>, "I will never have any qualms being known as Aditi''s sister since her standing has contributed to kick-starting my career."<br /><br />Similarly, Kajol''s sister Tanisha, who is all set to make her debut in <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Shhh...</span>, admits to having sought advice from her sister. "Kajol has taught me to be true to the character I portray and take on roles I feel I can do justice to."<br /><br />Manisha Koirala, however, feels that being a star sibling is a double-edged sword."Signing a film is perhaps easier but then they have to shoulder the burden of expectations." Comparisons will be made at every step, feels the Nepalese actress but "one has to learn to take it constructively. Also since many grow up seeing their sisters or brothers act, they gain knowledge not available to newcomers." <br /><br />While Aditya Rai has already taken a behind-the-scenes plunge into tinsel town as the co-producer of <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Dil Ka Rishta</span>, Asmit Patel will make his debut in Vikram Bhatt''s <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Intehaa </span>and Siddhartha Koirala will feature in a film produced by Manisha.<br /><br />Incidentally, Vikram Bhatt''s decision to cast Asmit was not based on sis Amisha''s recommendation alone. The young man had assisted Bhatt during the shooting of sister Amisha''s <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage </span>and Bhatt insists there is a lot of "talent" in him. Of course, being a star sibling is not qualification enough to guarantee box-office success.<br /><br />As an industry insider puts it, "Being a star sibling makes it easy for a wannabe to get the initial break. But subsequently, it is talent that counts." Make or break, that is the question. After all, even when Bollywood gets two much, it is all in the family!<br /></div> </div>
