Shraddha Kapoor to start shooting Laxman Utekar’s period musical in November; begins classical dance training: Report

Shraddha Kapoor is all set to star in a female-led period drama directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan. The actress has signed on for the film and is preparing intensely by training in classical dance and singing to authentically portray her role. As per the reports, shooting is planned to begin in November, with the film aiming for a release toward the end of 2026. The movie will showcase Maharashtra's cultural heritage on a grand scale.

According to Pinkvilla, Shraddha is all set to play one of the most important characters from the history of Maharashtra, bringing forth the Maharashtrian culture to the national level. She will be attending several dancing workshops to learn proper skills. She will also be taking some singing lessons to prepare for the part. We hear that the film will be mounted on a big scale, and is based on a novel, the details of which have been kept under wraps for now. The film goes on floors in November in 2025, and will release towards the end of 2026.
