Rain played spoilsport in Ahmedabad as it did not allow a single ball to be bowled at the grand finale match. What started as a drizzle, subsequently grew heavy postponing play to its reserve day.
The rain dampened the spirits of fans who travelled from around the country to sit in the stand and cheer for former Indian captain MS Dhoni as he gets ready to play his final match of the tournament.
With the rain came a flood of hilarious social media posts, who made the most of the dull day and created some hilarious memes. Things took a filmy turn when fans noted that Shraddha Kapoor had graced the pre-match show. Fans took to their handles to tease the actress saying, "Jaha baarish, waha Shraddha."
This was in reference to the actress' appearances in popular rain dance songs - 'Cham Cham', 'Baarish' and Tum Hi Ho'.
Reacting to the viral posts, Shraddha shared the same on her Instagram stories and captioned it with laugh-out-loud emoticons.
On the work front, the actress will soon feature in 'Stree 2' and 'Chanda Mama Door Ke'.
