Shraddha Das on working with Konkona Sen Sharma on 'The Naina Murder Case': 'Konkona doesn’t give tips to anyone’

Shraddha Das has steadily built a strong career across industries. She first caught attention in Tollywood with popular films like ‘Arya 2’, ‘Target’, ‘Diary’, ‘Dracula 2012’, ‘Zid’, and ‘Darling’. Now she is gearing up for a new Bollywood project with Manoj Bajpayee. Before that she earned praise for her performance in the web series ‘The Naina Murder Case’, led by Konkona Sen Sharma. In a recent interview, she opened up about her working experience with Konkona.

What she shared about Konkona Sen Sharma

During the interview with Deccan Chronicle, Shraddha was honest and warm while speaking about Konkona. She said, “Konkona doesn’t give tips to anyone. She is extremely focused on her own work. But she is very warm and encouraging. During look tests or when I wore a saree on set, she would often compliment me, saying, ‘You’re looking so pretty.’”




Shraddha said those moments mattered more than formal guidance. She also admired Konkona’s striking features and expressive eyes. “Personally, I find her very beautiful — her features, her eyes — she has a very striking face. I told her how much I admired her.

During one key scene, Konkona appreciated her, “I also had a scene shot with her and Shiv, where she appreciated my expressions and said they were very good. She was always sweet and motivating in that way” She added.

About ‘The Naina Murder Case’

The Naina Murder Case is the crime thriller show which is the adaption of the Danish show The Killing. The series is about a veteran cop ACP sanyukta Das played by Konkona Sen Sharma investigating the munder case of collage girl, whose body is found in politician’s car. You can steam on JioHotsatr.

What she said about her role in upcoming projects

Shraddha is now looking ahead. She confirmed that her next project brings her together with Manoj Bajpayee. While she kept details under wraps, she described the role as challenging and exciting. She said, “I’m playing a very strong character — head-to-head with the male lead. Most of my scenes are with Manoj sir. I play the head of the women’s wing division in Delhi and also the campaign manager. It’s a political crime drama. I don’t think anyone has portrayed a campaign manager in this way before. The character has power, authority, and purpose — and that’s what excites me the most.
