Shooter to be shot in Lucknow
The shooting for the Suniel Shetty and Randeep Hooda starrer “Shooter” will begin in Old Lucknow from September 15. Vishram Sawant, director of the movie, has already earmarked the places to shoot in Chowk area. Sawant has assisted Ram Gopal Varma in the past. “Sawant came to do a recce of the old parts of the city, and liked the narrow bylanes of Chowk, Nakkhas, Bulaki Adda and also Kasai Bada, which he feels will be perfect for the action sequences in the film,” says Arun Singh, line producer who’s tying up the loose ends for the shooting to begin. Parts of the film will also be shot near the Press Club near Hazratganj and Aminabad. “They are basically looking for places which are crowded and have an old city feel,” informs Singh. Actor Suniel Shetty, who’s playing a cop in the film, will not be a part of the Lucknow leg of the shooting. “Although I love Lucknow, I will not be required for that leg of the shooting so I will not be there,” says the actor, who's returning to action with films like “Enemy” and “Shooter”.
