Former Indian tennis player Sania Mirza has confirmed her separation from her husband, Shoaib Malik, ending months of speculation. Rumors about their relationship had circulated for over a year, and on January 20, 2024, Shoaib shared pictures with Pakistani actress Sana Javed, revealing their marriage. In response, Sania's team released a statement on social media, acknowledging her divorce from Shoaib a couple of months ago. Allegations suggest Sania decided to end the marriage due to Shoaib's extramarital affairs. Amidst the developments, an old interview with Shoaib Malik expressing his love for women worldwide is resurfacing.

An old interview featuring Shoaib Malik on Shoaib Akhtar's show in November 2023 has resurfaced. During the candid conversation with host Shoaib, Malik was asked to name five women he liked. Playfully, Sania Mirza's ex-husband quipped that he loves women all over the world, highlighting the challenge of narrowing it down to just five names and asserting his affection for 500 women. He further emphasized his better rapport with women than with men. The timing of this statement, given the context of his divorce from Sania, adds a layer of intrigue, prompting widespread discussions and raising eyebrows among the audience.

Reports suggest that Malik was allegedly dating Sana while still married to Mirza. Before her involvement with Shoaib, Sana Javed had married singer Umair Jaswal in 2020; however, their marriage ended in November 2023. In a surprising turn of events, Shoaib and Sana tied the knot in a private ceremony on January 19, 2024, at her home in Karachi.
