Anchor turned actor Shiv Pandit, might not be hosting the IPL this season, but he’s happy to watch his friend Yudi doing a “great job”. “Yudi has great screen presence and is doing a fantastic job hosting the IPL,” says Shiv who’ll be making his debut in Bollywood with “Shaitan” directed by Bejoy Nambiar. The actor however confesses that he hasn’t had time to catch a single IPL match in the stadium. “I miss hosting the IPL. But then you need to do different things in life,” he says.
Shiv, who was popular as an IPL host took a break from television to concentrate on his filmi career. His first movie, “Leelai” in Tamil, is yet to release. “You know how difficult it is for a guy from North India to find movies down South. Unless you come from a filmi family, nothing really happens,” confesses Shiv. But things are set to change for the actor with “Shaitaan” hitting the screens soon.

Kalki Koechlin and
Rajeev Khandelwal, the film which deals with teen angst has been in the news for its violent and bold promos. “Yes, the promos are a little in-your-face. I have done some physically challenging scenes and some intimate ones as well, but that’s crucial to the plot of the movie,” says Pandit. Ask him if he plans to go back to his old territory, the IPL, to promote his film and he says, “Well, its early days but it would be great if I could go down to the stadium to watch a match. Nothing compares to the excitement of watching an IPL match live,” said the actor.
