Shilpa Shirodkar to make a comeback on small screen

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shirodkar, who was praised for her performance in films like ‘Mritiyudand’, ‘Khuda Gawah’, ‘Choti Bahu’ and ‘Gopi Kishan’, is making a comeback on screen by featuring in a TV show. The actress, who was planning a comeback with Bollywood, will instead begin her second innings with small screen.
Sources reveal that Tony and Deeya Singh’s production house, known for successful soap Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, has approached her with a role that is central and challenging to the new show. The rest of the cast is still not decided and the producers will make a formal announcement once things are finalised. Those who are already onboard have been refrained by the production house to speak to media.
Shilpa had a successful career in Bollywood in 1990s. She got married to Apresh Ranjit in 2000 and then moved abroad. A few years ago, Shilpa relocated to Mumbai and appeared in a few shows for a Marathi channel.
