Shilpa Shirodkar fondly recalls working with Madhuri Dixit, says they share a family bond: 'She must be as happy for me...'
Shilpa Shirodkar recently opened up about her experience working with Madhuri Dixit. Shilpa also revealed that she had a fabulous relationship with Madhuri back in the day.
In conversation with NDTV, Shilpa revealed that although Madhuri was one of her closest colleagues, she is not in touch with her. The actress explained that when the 'Dil' actress moved back to India, she was in India for a couple of years and then she moved out. Madhuri eventually got busy with her work. And then Shilpa went away. Now, that she has come back, she is yet to get an opportunity to reconnect with her.
Elaborating further, Shirodkar added that she believes that Madhuri must be aware that she is back in India and must be as happy for her as she would have been years ago. The actress revealed that Dixit is one person with whom she shares a very close family relation.
When talking about her co-star Madhoo, Shilpa explained that back in the day, actors didn’t really work on films one by one. Instead, they would juggle multiple projects in shifts, which left little time to hang out or socialise. Still, Shilpa feels that if she meets any of her old colleagues now, they’ll be able to pick up right where they left off.
Shilpa and Madhoo worked in movies like 'Hum Hain Bemisal' and 'Pehchaan'. Madhuri and Shilpa, on the other hand, were seen in movies like 'Gaja Gamini', 'Kishen Kanhaiya' and 'Mrityudand'.
