Shilpa Shetty welcomes a new member to her family

It’s a well known fact that Shilpa Shetty Kundra loves pets. The actress, who is active on social media, often posts videos of her pet cat, Simba. And now, she has added a new member to her family — a parrot, who has been christened Poppy Shetty.
Shilpa posted an adorable video, which features poppy snuggling up to her. The caption read, “We found #poppy (name in transit 😅) in our home( dunno if it’s a male/female) was rescued by my staff on Friday night ,she must’ve fallen from her nest that’s on the almond tree in my garden ..she fluttered her wings but couldn’t fly fully..Feels like a soul I know who’s trying to communicate 😇She’s soo adorable ..Going to set her free as soon as she’s ready..but had to share this video of how friendly this parrot is”.

On the work front, Shilpa has been keeping away from the big screen. Her last Bollywood outing was ‘Dishkiyaoon’, which released in 2014. She played herself in the film, which was co-produced by her, and featured Harman Baweja, Ayesha Khanna, Aditya Pancholi and Prashant Narayanan among others. Shilpa is active on television though, as a reality show judge.
