Yes, you heard it right. Shilpa Shetty reportedly said that Sridevi was supposed to play a double role in the film. But that did not work out, and two leading ladies (Kajol and Shilpa) were roped in later. Shah Rukh Khan wasn’t a huge superstar back then, Kajol’s debut film '

' (1992), too, hadn’t worked, and Shilps was a newcomer but when the film released, the three of them became stars.
