Bollywood lost yet another legend as
Saroj Khan passed away today due to cardiac arrest. The 71 year old ace choreographer was loving referred to as Masterji by Bollywood celebrities.
Shilpa Shetty penned a heartfelt note about her first meeting with Saroj Khan and wrote, “A LEGEND has left us. Can’t forget the moment I first met you when you came to choreograph ”Kitaabe” and I burst out crying (I was a huge fan of your work) I couldn’t believe you were actually standing in front of me.”
Shilpa Shetty went on to reveal about the many other instances when she was choreographed by Saroj Khan.
“Then came “Churake dil” which was a milestone in my career..and many more..You set the benchmark so high,taught me “how” to express..a technician par excellence...No one shot women like you ,you were the best! Will miss you .Churake dil mera #Saroj ji chale💔 May you rest in peace Masterji 🙏 Strength and love to the family to cope with this irreparable loss.”
Apart from Shilpa Shetty, Saroj Khan had choreographed some iconic songs with
Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit. She was often referred to as ‘Masterji’ by Bollywood celebrities. Saroj Khan’s last song was ‘Tabaah Hogaye’ with
Madhuri Dixit from 2019 release ‘Kalank’. Fondly speaking about Saroj Khan, Madhuri Dixit had once told ANI, “Saroj ji finds a spiritual aspect and works on expressions. She knows how to make a woman look graceful and beautiful through a dance.”
