Shiamak Davar bedazzles South film industry

With his slick moves and agile steps, Shiamak Davar has revolutionised Contemporary Jazz and Western dance forms in India.
A true multitasker, he has encouraged people to learn dance for over three decades. After a successful stint in Bollywood, he recently choreographed one of the biggest film awards down South that brought together Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam stars on one stage.Actor-director-choreographer Prabhudheva is all praises for him. He says, 'Be it films or stage shows, Shiamak is just amazing. He always brings in some uniqueness in his work.'
Southern siren Tamannaah adds, 'When it comes to choreography, I can't imagine anyone better than Shiamak. He makes us perform steps that we can't even think of. His entire team is professional and hardworking.' For actress Shriya Saran, it was a dream come true to work with him. She recounts, 'He is a legend who literally changed the definition of dance in India. When I was in college, everyone attended his classes. His style of covering the entire stage is fantastic. All his dancers are fabulous and they function like one big family.' The dance guru, as he is popularly known, also enjoyed directing the stars. He narrates, 'It has been a beautiful experience. All of them are extremely talented performers, but what really struck me is that they are so humble. Each of them is very professional; when they came for rehearsals they knew their steps. I can't wait to work with them again.'
