Bollywood's ace filmmaker
Shekhar Kapur has been working on the ambitious project ‘Paani’ but was reportedly heartbroken when it was put on the back burner.
The filmmaker was to collaborate with
Sushant Singh Rajput. After the actor’s untimely demise in 2020, Shekhar Kapur had tweeted that he will dedicate the film to SSR.
Speaking to Pinkvilla, Shekhar Kapur revealed that he is planning to revive 'Paani', and is in touch with a few producers to discuss the possibility.
The filmmaker further added that it is a dramatic script about many relationships including a love story, and water is the key to the love story.
Meanwhile, Shekhar Kapur is currently promoting his cross-cultural romantic comedy "What's Love Got To Do With It?" will hit the theatres on January 27 next year. The movie is written and produced by
Jemima Khan.
It also marks Kapur's first collaboration with Azmi since 1983's acclaimed Hindi-language family drama "Masoom".
