is deeply shocked by the demise of

Chandro Tomar

, one of the two popular Shooter Dadis.

Tomar

passed away due to COVID-19 on Friday and Sadana recalls how she had hosted an event for the shooter dadi.

Sukhmani said, "I remember when I had hosted an event, shooter dadi was one of our chief guests. Our aim was to promote and market the bank to self- made and single women for a better and secure future. Shooter Dadi was the chief guest and she represented strength and confidence."

Sukhmani added, "When I got an opportunity to meet her back stage, I found out more about her. She was a solid and strong woman, but also gullible, kind-hearted and humble. I felt that she was simple yet determined and very interesting to talk to. She was an inspiration for the entire country. It is not surprising that a film like Saand Ki Aankh was made on her life. The country has lost a beautiful soul, I will miss her. She was already above 60 when she picked up the gun for the first time."

Chandro won many awards in the senior citizen category including Stri Shakti Sanman presented by the President of India. She also won many national competitions along with her sister

, inspiring a Bollywood movie on them. Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar played their roles in the biopic Saand Ki Aankh.

On the work front, Sukhmani has written the script for Vikram Bhatt's 1920, Rocketry directed by R Madhavan with Shah Rukh Khan.
