Shatrughan Sinha and Victor Banerjee respond to Naatu Naatu’s Oscar win, say 'this is a BIG deal'

SS Rajamouli's RRR has instilled a great sense of pride for all Indians as the film's composer MM Keeravani and lyricts Chandrabose won the Oscar for Original Song yesterday. Since then, the Indian film industry has expressed its unbridled love and respect for the film and its team.
“Those who say it is not a big deal, don’t know what a big deal is.SS Rajamouli has proven himself the biggest most influential Indian filmmaker. Not since Satyajit Ray has an Indian director made such a global impact,” says the inimitable Shatrughan Sinha, showering the highest praise on the RRR team.
Says Sinha, “Rajamouli, NTR Jr, Ramcharan and MM Keeravani are masters of the craft. To them goes the credit for giving Indian mainstream cinema a legitimacy across the world. We should all celebrate the Oscar and not try to undermine the achievement.”
Legendary Bengali actor Victor Banerjee who has played the lead in Satyajit Ray’s Ghaire Bhaire and David Lean’s A Passage To India, says he can’t stop dancing to Naatu Naatu. “I am Naatu Naatu over heels for our first ever real Oscar achievement... This one is not shared with anyone, not borrowed. What a fantastic moment in our lives presenting the unique talents we have in India!
