Sharad Kelkar lashes out at people who don’t follow social distancing

Countries across the world are dealing with the novel coronavirus outbreak, and with no vaccine yet in sight, prevention is the only way out. Lockdown, social distancing…these have suddenly become the realities of life for millions of people across the world.
However, there are still some people who refuse to quarantine themselves at home — either due to sheer ignorance or because of defiance.Actor Sharad Kelkar has lashed out at the latter. Talking to an entertainment portal, he said that he can’t understand why people would behave like this. Is it overconfidence or stupidity, he wondered. The actor reasoned that with the shops open, there’s no need for anyone to indulge in panic buying.
Sharad also criticised people who came up with excuses — fake doctor’s prescriptions and lying about loved ones’ health — to step out and roam around.
On the work front, the actor was last seen in the Ajay Devgn-starrer, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. He played Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the movie, which also featured Saif Ali Khan and Kajol. He has an interesting line-up of films in Bollywood, including ‘Darbaan’, ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ and ‘Bhuj: The Pride Of India.”
