Fresh out of the success of ‘Kedarnath’, director
Abhishek Kapoor has begun work on his next, ‘
Sharaabi
’. Since the big announcement last week, there has been a lot of buzz surrounding the casting. Now, according to reports, the makers of the film have reached out to
Arjun Kapoor and
Shahid Kapoor to play the role of the protagonist.
The reports go on to state that both actors have expressed interest in the part but have yet to agree to sign the film that is still in its initial stages. Fans can expect the makers to announce their leading man when the formalities are complete.
While the 1984 version of ‘Sharaabi’ featured Bollywood's megastar,
Amitabh Bachchan, it will be interesting to see which actor bags the lead in this upcoming film that will reportedly a balanced concoction of comedy, drama, and music.
Meanwhile, Shahid is currently working on his next film 'Kabir Singh' and Arjun is busy shooting the period drama 'Panipat'.
