Shahid Kapoor,
Shraddha Kapoor and
Yami Gautam’s ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ has been in the headlines for quite some time now. The movie that was earlier slated to release on August 31st, then on September 14, is now finally set to release on September 21st, 2018.
Interestingly, the ‘
Padmaavat’ actor has reportedly managed to sign a three-movie deal with Zee Studios. And this has garnered attention prominently also because these days production houses refrain from making such long-term commitments with any actor.
While apart from ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’, he has the Hindi remake of South film ‘
Arjun Reddy’ in his kitty; although the details about the new deal haven’t be announced.
A daily quoted a source stating that the deal means that the studio has invested in who it sees to be a potential superstar. The source added that the amount paid to the actor will increase as he completes each of the three films.
Furthermore, the source even revealed that from Shahid’s point of view, it’s a win as he charged 12 crores for ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’, and this three-film deal consolidates his position among the lot of rising superstars including
Ranbir Kapoor and
Varun Dhawan.
