There were reports that Shahid Kapoor charged Rs 40 crore for his recently released film Bloody Daddy after the massive success of Kabir Singh and Farzi. But it seems like the actor has decided to reduce his remuneration by Rs 15 crore for Malayalam director Rosshan Andrrews next.
According to an entertainment portal, Shahid has charged Rs 25 crore only for the film, which will also reportedly star Pooja Hegde alongside him. The report also states that Shahid's decision to slash his fee will prompt other actors in the industry to re-evaluate their remunerations. Filmmakers and producers may also cite Shahid as an example for the same. The untitled film is said to be produced by Roy Kapur Films and Zee Studios.
Meanwhile, Bloody Daddy has been receiving rave reviews from the critics and audience alike. The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial also stars Ronit Roy, Sanjay Kapoor, Diana Penty and Rajeev Khandelwal in pivotal roles.
