With biopics continuing to be popular in Bollywood, audiences will be treated to some more in the coming months.
Shahid Kapoor will be seen as former North-East boxing champ Ngangom
Dingko Singh in a
biopic
that will be directed by Raja Krishna Menon. Shahid will play the 1998 Asiad gold medalist in the film. While this has been known for a while, fans are wondering when the actor will begin shooting for the film. Considering he plays a sportsperson and that too, a gold medalist, it is understood that he will have to train specifically for his role in order to look convincing on the big screen.
However, there seems to be no report about when the film will actually go on floors since Shahid is currently busy shooting for ‘
Kabir Singh’. When asked about the Dingko Singh biopic, the actor said he was only focusing on ‘Kabir Singh’ as of now because nothing about the biopic had been finalised. Shahid is shooting with
Kiara Advani for ‘Kabir Singh’ where the two first shot in Delhi and later Mussoorie. The film is a remake of the Telugu hit ‘
Arjun Reddy’ and will release in June this year.
