Shahid Kapoor has reportedly begun prepping intensively for director
Vishal Bhardwaj's next, in which he will reportedly be seen as a gangster by the name of Hussain Ustara. The movie also stars Triptii Dimri in a significant role. This will mark Shahid Kapoor's reassociation with Bhardwaj after the well-received projects Haider and Kaminey.
According to Mid-Day, Shahid's role is inspired by a character from real life-a gangster who was also known for his brutal behavior and strict personal code of loyalty and honor. For the part, Shahid Kapoor has begun specialized combat training to perfect himself for the action-stuffed sequences planned for the film.
Reportedly it is Vishal Bhardwaj handling Shahid Kapoor personally to give him a lot of churning toward understanding the nuances of the psychology of the character. According to the sources, there will be six elaborate action set pieces in the movie, and it will be shot in both India and the US.
Triptii Dimri's preparation for the lead role has also started. Sources indicate that her character is all set to chase a very interesting revenge arc, thereby giving the narrative some credence. Joint rehearsals with Shahid Kapoor are likely to begin soon.
Bhardwaj announced the project back in September with an emotional Instagram post, as he spoke about his excitement about collaborating once again with producer
Sajid Nadiadwala and Shahid Kapoor. While he welcomed Triptii Dimri to the project, it was very much a hint at the strong creative synergy within the team.
