Shabana Azmi to feature alongside Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani in 'Awarapan 2' - Reports

Emraan Hashmi’s upcoming film 'Awarapan 2' has been generating a lot of buzz ever since it was announced. The movie is one of the most awaited releases of 2026, especially for Emraan’s fans, as the first part has a strong fan following to date.

Shabana Azmi' joins the cast

Adding to the excitement, Bollywood Hungama reported that veteran actress Shabana Azmi has joined the cast. A per a Bollywood Hungama report, “Shabana Azmi has come on board for Awarapan 2. The role is apt for her and she was more than happy to bag the coveted part. It’s an interesting and powerful creative decision by producer Vishesh Bhatt that significantly intensifies the film’s emotional core and conflict. Interestingly, this marks Shabana Azmi’s first-ever collaboration with Vishesh Films.”

This Emraan's starrer flick is directed by Nitin Kakkar of 'Filmistaan', recently wrapped up a long shooting schedule in Bangkok, Thailand. Reports suggest that the makers plan to complete the remaining shoot by January 2026, keeping the film on track for its scheduled release on April 3, 2026.
