Shabana Azmi shares a fun throwback picture with Neetu Kapoor from Manmohan Desai's 'Parvarish' - See inside

Shabana Azmi is largely remembered for her path-breaking roles like 'Arth' through which she made a space for herself in the 'so called' art cinema. Now though, the lines between commercial cinema and parallel cinema have blurred, not many remember that Azmi has been a part of some massy films too, like Manmohan Desai's 'Parvarish'.
The actress shared a fun picture with her co-star Neetu Kapoor, which is quite a proof of her fun side behind the hard hitting roles she's aced.Shabana wrote, "“#Neetu Singh sent this to me – a still from #Manmohan Desai’s #Parvarish – a film we both had a blast doing.”

Parvarish starred Amitabh Bachchan and Vinod Khanna along with Neetu and Shabana. While Shabana was paired opposite Khanna, Neetu was cast with Big B. Many celebs commented on this throwback picture. While Zoya Akhtar dropped a smile emoji, Divya Dutta commented, "stunning!" Sandhya Mridul shared, "A film that for me confirmed that I wanted to be 1. Vinod khanna & 2. an actor! 😊💙 🫡 🙏"
Earlier Shabana had shared some memories of working on 'Amar Akbar Anthony' and 'Parvarish'. She had said in an interview that Manmohan Desai came and told her, that Vinod Khanna will eat his head if he finds out that there are heroines opposite Big B and Rishi in 'Amar Akbar Anthony' and not with him. So, pushed in Shabana in the film for his own sanity. The actress found Desai's honesty quite amusing and endearing!
Azmi will be seen next in 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' which stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan and Dharmendra as well.
