Singer Shaan’s son Maahi Mukirjee was recently at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. For the unversed, Maahi along with Pragati Nagpal and Arjun Tanwar debuted and performed at the Cannes Film Festival 2024.
Shaan also accompanied the three of them to Cannes. Their performances were a marque highlight at Cannes this year, showcasing India's rich musical heritage on an international stage.
Maahi called it an “incredible opportunity and beginning” as they performed at the Bharat Parv Stage.
While talking to us, he shares, “To be given such a prestigious stage so early in my career was an amazing feeling. At first, I was a bit nervous, but as the performance went on, I started to enjoy myself more and more. All in all, I loved every second of it and am thankful for everyone that made it possible, especially Saregama.”
Interestingly, Maahi also got to celebrate his birthday during his visit to the French Riveria. He mentions it, as he talks about his performance. “The feeling of performing on stage was a memorable moment for me. No matter how big or small the performance, that is always the highlight. The entire trip felt surreal. Another fond memory was a very sweet birthday surprise after my performance on day two. It was an honor to be able to celebrate my birthday in such a prestigious environment,” he recalls.
Ask the singer if his father gave him any advice before the performance, and he shares, “Dad was, as always, incredibly supportive throughout. He told me to stay calm, give it my all, and do it all with a smile. He also shared some fun facts about French history throughout the trip.”

Mumbai, May 22 (IANS) Singer Maahi, son of iconic playback singer Shaan, released his second single, ‘Jaadugari’ on Wednesday. The track tells the story of love as it takes a magical form.
Maahi also bumped into
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who walked the Cannes Red carpet. “Meeting Aishwarya Ma’am was an incredibly pleasant surprise. I have always been a fan of her work, and meeting her was the cherry on top of an already great trip,” he reveals.
The aspiring singer doesn’t take this as a big feat. “For me, what’s important right now is working on my craft and ensuring I become the best performer I can be. I’m not too caught up on feats now, just counting my blessings and moving ahead,” he signs off.
