Shaad was excited about his double role in 'Mastizaade'

Milap Milan Zaveri, writer-director of the recently-released 'Mastizaade,' calls Shaad Randhawa the film's lucky charm.

It all started with director Mohit Suri referring to the actor thus, after working with him in four movies. Shaad, who plays a double role ' as Deshpremee Singh and Deshdrohi Singh ' in the comic caper, says, 'I was excited when Milap came to me with the script, but I didn't know if I could pull off the roles. This was the first time I was attempting a laugh-out-loud, naughty and mad comedy.I'm glad the audience has liked my performance. It's one of the few movies in the adult comedy zone and delivered all that it promised in its promotions ' a certain quality of humour that everyone above 18 years of age was waiting for.'
The actor, who attended extensive training sessions to achieve the physical look of his characters, is happy that his efforts have paid off. Besides Sunny Leone who plays twin sisters, Laila and Lily Lele, the film also stars Tusshar, Vir Das, Asrani, Suresh Menon and Riteish Deshmukh in a special appearance.
