Shaad Ali to make a film on Dr Lakshmi Sahgal

Shaad Ali, his father, eminent filmmaker Muzaffar Ali are reportedly planning a film on freedom fighter and social worker Dr Lakshmi Sahgal, Shaad's grandmother and the mother of Ali's first wife, Suhasini.
Dr Sahgal passed away on Monday morning and both Shaad and Muzaffar ali were with her in her last days. Talking about Dr Sahgal, Muzaffar Ali said, "She was a great lady.She has left a huge void for us."
As for the film, while Ali stresses that it is Shaad's, who was very close to his nani, brainchild, Ali said, "Some parts of the film are ready and it's a project that Shaad has been passionate about," while declining to add anything further. Shaad himself was unavailable for comment.
