Saturday fever grips Varun and Alia

After their successful debut, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt — along with mentor Karan Johar — are ready for their next outing, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. The trio will unveil the movie’s first song, Saturday Saturday, tonight on the TV show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. It sees the relaunch of a hit Bhangra Pop track and shows Varun rapping about Alia’s party habits on a Saturday.

Picturised on a larger-than-life recreation of the Roman Colosseum with statues, tanks and even Mongolian warriors, the song was filmed in three days.Choreographed by Ahmed Khan, it features over 200 background dancers along with the lead pair.

KJo is optimistic that the track will be as appreciated as the trailer of the movie, directed by Shashank Khaitan. Says he, “Saturday Saturday is a song that makes you head straight to the dance floor. Varun and Alia’s sizzling chemistry adds to its charm.”
