'Kalki 2898 AD' actor Saswata Chatterjee recently recalled filming the climax with Deepika Padukone while Ranveer Singh was also on set for Nag Ashwin's directorial.
In an interview with News18, Saswata recounted filming the climax of the movie. In this scene, his character Manas drags Deepika Padukone's pregnant Sumathi by her hair after his army invades Shambhala. Chatterjee revealed that Deepika's husband, Ranveer Singh, was present on set during this intense shoot.
The actor described Deepika as ever-smiling. He shared that during the Mumbai shoot, where he had to drag Deepika’s character by the hair, Ranveer Singh was on set dressed entirely in orange. Chatterjee mentioned Ranveer's infectious energy and reassured him about the use of a body double for physically demanding scenes. Ranveer responded politely and humbly, acknowledging the assurance.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Chatterjee, known for his role in Anurag Basu's 'Jagga Jasoos,' will be seen next in the filmmaker’s upcoming project, 'Metro… In Dino.' In this film, he plays Neena Gupta’s husband, with Pankaj Tripathi and Aditya Roy Kapoor as his sons-in-law.
Chatterjee recalled a humorous moment on set when Pankaj Tripathi spontaneously gave him a back massage, explaining it was a way to show respect to his on-screen father-in-law.
