There’s no way star kids can escape being compared to their parents. While there are numerous examples in the industry, the latest are Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan. While Janhvi is the daughter of Boney Kapoor and late actress
Sridevi, Sara is
Saif Ali Khan and
Amrita Singh’s beti.
Call it a coincidence, both youngsters made their Bollywood debut in 2018 — Janhvi with Shashank Khaitan’s ‘Dhadak’ and Sara with
Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Kedarnath’.
Both debutantes were appreciated for their performance by the critics as well as masses.
Sara, who was also part of
Rohit Shetty’s recent release, ‘Simmba’, has often said that she looks up to her parents. In an earlier interview with Bombay Times, she had said, “I am quite influenced by my parents work. I think they are both very good at their work. I think mom is an extremely spontaneous and bindaas actress. I think the innate suave that my father has (sorry to sound biased), I haven’t really seen that in anyone else. I am not talking about just acting, as we have seen very good actors, maybe better or worse, but the suave, confidence and the finesse that my father has, is incomparable.”
Now, while talking to a daily, the young actress was asked which of the two roles played by her mom (Amrita) would she like to attempt. Well, Sara had three choices. She said that she would love to play Amrita’s roles in ‘Chameli Ki Shaadi’, ‘Betaab’ and ‘Aaina’. Sara said that she loved her mom’s spontaneity and timing in ‘Chameli Ki Shaadi’. She also said she loved Amrita’s innocence in ‘Betaab’.
