In a recent interview with news18, Sanjeeda Sheikh spoke about her struggles as an actress and her experience of working with renowned Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. When asked about whether she ever felt insecure, Sheikh admitted, "I did feel insecure about being pretty when I did not get the role. There were times when they would say that you are ‘too pretty’, so you won’t be getting this part.” The actress added the scar on the face in 'Heeramandi' added more character to her performance. Sanjeeda expressed that it was a constant reminder for Waheeda’s character, who she was, who she has become and who she does not want to become.
