How do you decide on dance and music for a career?
I once aspired to become a CA, but it was always music that charged me up. Soon I decided to develop my hobby into a fulltime profession.
Yes it was. I not only sang Paanch rupaiya barah aana but also performed on it. Ashaji was so impressed with my singing that she called me after the show and asked me to take it up seriously.
Tell us something about your Mehbooba mehbooba remix.
Let me make one thing very clear – this song is not a remix. It has an original fragrance. Earlier, Himesh’s Mehbooba was to be used. But due to some problems, it couldn’t be used. And then Ramu
You’ve have said no to choreographing many big projects, why?
Actually I’m just being choosy. But why should anyone have a problem with it. After choreographing for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Khamoshi, I said no to his other ventures like Devdas and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, as I was busy with my shows abroad and my debut album. But Sanjay warned me that if I did not choreograph a song for his upcoming movie Saawariya, he would just kidnap me.
