Sanjay Leela Bhansali to present a tableau at R-Day parade
Indian cinema is getting its own big moment at the Republic Day parade this year, and it is being led by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has teamed up with the National award-winning filmmaker to present a special tableau at Kartavya Path, marking a rare crossover between a cinema spectacle and the January 26 parade. Bhansali, known for turning films into an art form, will be bringing his signature aesthetic to the parade, sources say. His films, including Black , Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat , Devdas , Ram-Leela , Gangubai Kathiawadi, and the recent Heeramandi , are celebrated for their lavish sets and meticulous production design.
“For the first time ever, a director will present a tableau at Kartavya Path. There could be no better representative for this moment than Sanjay Leela Bhansali,” shares a source.
