Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt has assured all that he is ‘doing well’ getting admitted to a city hospital late Saturday evening. Taking to his social media handle the actor was also happy to announce that he tested negative for COVID-19 and that he will be home soon.

“Just wanted to assure everyone that I’m doing well. I’m currently under medical observation & my COVID-19 report is negative. With the help & care of the doctors, nurses & staff at Lilavati hospital, I should be home in a day or two. Thank you for your well wishes & blessings (sic),” Dutt tweeted.



His tweet came in moments after news broke of his hospitalisation. The actor was reportedly complaining of breathlessness and was tested for the novel coronavirus as a mandatory protocol.


Reports claim that the star had fluctuating oxygen saturation levels and complained of chest discomfort.

In a statement to ANI, the hospital authorities said, "His COVID-19 report is negative but he is still there for some time just for medical observation. He is perfectly fine."

While under observation, it has been reported that the doctors have ordered a few tests, for which they are awaiting the results.

News of Dutt’s hospitalisation comes in shortly after Abhishek Bachchan, announced that he has been discharged from hospital after weeks of treatment for COVID-19.

Dutt is currently alone in his Mumbai home. His wife and two kids are reportedly stuck abroad owing to the lockdown and travel restrictions.
