Samay Raina's late-night text about 'abuses' in his special receives EPIC response from father: 'Humne 'Dhurandhar' dekhi hai'

Samay Raina is currently rocking the headlines after his 'STILL ALIVE' standup special, in which he opened up about the 'India's Got Latent' controversy and its aftermath. Now, the comedian took to his Instagram on Friday, April 10, to share a video of how his parents reacted to the special.

Samay Raina reveals inviting his father to his special filled with abuses

As per the Free Press Journal report, Samay Raina shared a video of his parents arriving on stage at the special screening held in Mumbai. Soon, his mother shared a warm hug with the comedian. In the clip, he can be heard saying, "Main kal raat ko 4 baje papa ko message kiya, 'Papa, kal aaoge aap show dekhne? Thodi gaaliyan hain usme, isliye puchne mein sharam aa rahi thi, par zyada nahi hain. Dhurandhar se kam hi hai' (Last night at 4 a.m., I messaged my father, ‘Dad, will you come watch the show tomorrow? There are a few abuses in it, so I felt a bit embarrassed to ask, but there aren’t too many. It’s less than in Dhurandhar')."

Samay Raina's father replied, "Kal mujhe bata nahi paaya tha face-to-face; subah maine 6 baje dekha ki raat ke 3:36 AM par aapka message aaya tha. Toh maine kaha, 'Humne Dhurandhar bhi dekhi, The Family Man aur The Ba***ds of Bollywood bhi dekha hai' (He couldn’t tell me face-to-face yesterday; in the morning at 6, I saw that your message had come at 3:36 AM. So I said, 'I've watched 'Dhurandhar', 'The Family Man', and 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood' too')."

The audience burst into laughter after hearing Samay's father's response.

Samay’s father also stated that he enjoyed the comedy special, saying that he is proud of his son and appreciated his performance in Still Alive.
