Recently, a clip of Riddhima Kapoor Sahni’s daughter Samara went viral from Aadar Jain and Alekha Advani’s wedding. In the video, the young girl appeared upset while facing the paparazzi, sparking speculation that she was angry with her mother.
The truth, however, turned out to be far simpler.
In a light-hearted vlog with
Farah Khan, Samara clarified that she was not upset at all. “Let a girl have a resting face. It’s not a problem. It’s just a resting face,” she quipped.
Riddhima explained that Samara deliberately strikes a “blue steel” look for cameras. “I told her it looks like she is angry,” she said. But Samara was quick to normalise the idea, adding, “Smiling is good, but it’s also okay to just have a resting face.”
Family bonds across homes
Farah’s vlog also gave a glimpse into the Kapoor family’s close-knit ties. When asked about
Ranbir Kapoor and
Alia Bhatt’s new house in Mumbai, Riddhima revealed she already has her own space there. “I have a room on my mother’s floor. There’s one for Bharat and me, and one for Samara. My mom wants to keep us close,” she said warmly.
Riddhima’s emotional debut with Neetu Kapoor
While Riddhima Kapoor Sahni is best known as a jewellery designer and entrepreneur, she has recently taken a surprising step into films.
After appearing in Bollywood Wives vs Fabulous Lives, she has completed her first feature film, and it’s a special one.
The project not only marks her acting debut but also sees her sharing screen space with her mother, veteran actress Neetu Kapoor.
The film was shot in Mashobra, near Shimla, over a span of 40 days. For Riddhima, it became an emotional journey.
In an earlier chat with TOI city Riddhima said, “Mom and I don’t live in the same city. But during the shoot, we lived together, started our mornings with chai, and went to set side by side. It reminded me of the time after Samara was born, the last time we spent so much uninterrupted time together."
