Samantha and Raj Nidimoru's wedding: Actress' friend shares INSIDE PICS from dreamy ceremony and intimate reception

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru tied the knot on Monday morning in a sacred Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha ceremony at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore. The 'Citadel' couple wed in a low-key ceremony, attended by close friends and family and later shared the happy news on social media for all to see.

After the bride and groom broke the news, Samantha’s close friend Shilpa Reddy shared inside glimpses from the ceremony on Instagram, offering fans a closer look at the special day. One photo saw the newlyweds holding hands and looking lovingly into each other’s eyes.




Reddy also shared a bunch of photos that gave fans a look at the ceremony, the minimalist floral décor, details from the wedding venue and more. Among the many photos shared on her handle, she also posted glimpses from the couple's reception lunch that included a traditional vegetarian thali.

Samantha announces wedding

Samantha announced her wedding by posting a series of photos and captioning it with her wedding date “01.12.2025,” accompanied by white heart emojis.

The pictures showed Raj slipping a ring onto her finger before the Linga Bhairavi, the couple performing the wedding rituals and offering aarti, and the newlyweds holding hands as they walked over a threshold adorned with flowers.

For the ceremony, Raj wore a white kurta with a beige Nehru jacket, while Samantha chose a red-and-gold saree, complemented by fresh flowers in her hair.

About Samantha's unique ring

One detail that immediately caught the internet’s attention was Samantha’s striking wedding ring. Speaking to India Today, Jeweller Hafsa Qureshi, described the piece as being crafted with portrait-cut diamonds, each custom-cut by skilled artisans.

After the big announcement, congratulatory messages poured in soon after the photos were posted, with actors Anupama Parameswaran, Nimrat Kaur, Dimple Hayathi, Ananya Panday and others sending their wishes.

Samantha and Raj engaged in February

Samantha and Raj, had remained private about their relationship, sparked dating rumours in early 2024 after making several joint public appearances. A closer look at Samantha's photos, have now hinted that the couple may have been engaged since February this year.

The couple, who have a couple of production ventures lined up, have previously collaborated on 'The Family Man 2' and 'Citadel: Honey Bunny'.

This is the second marriage for both. Samantha was previously married to actor Naga Chaitanya between 2017 and 2021, while Raj was previously married to Shhyamali De.
