Salman Khan's 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' set to release in Bangladesh on August 25, months after Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan'

Salman Khan's film 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' is set to release in Bangladesh on August 25, becoming the second Bollywood film to be released in the country after Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan'. The film was released in India on April 21 and earned over Rs 100 crore at the box office. The release in Bangladesh is part of an importation deal, with a recently released Bangladeshi film also being released in India.

Salman Khan starrer, ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ is all set to strom theatres in Bangladesh as it gets ready for its release on Friday, 25th August. The action flick is now the second film after Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan' to be released in the country.
This screening in Bangladesh theatres comes four months after its Eid release on 21st April. The movie earned over Rs 100 crore at the Indian box office, thanks to the fan frenzy around its release.

It now remains to be seen how well the film performs at the Bangladeshi box office.

Reports previously stated that the Ministry of Information granted permission for the movie's release in the neighbouring country as part of an importation deal. In exchange for releasing 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' in Bangladesh, a recently released Bangladeshi film 'Kosai', directed by Ananya Mamun, will release in India.
The government of Bangladesh specified that a maximum of 10 films can be imported in a year. After the decision, ‘Pathaan’ was released on May 12, followed by the Salman Khan starrer.
Films produced by Bollywood have been banned from cinemas in Bangladesh since the country's independence in 1972, in a bid to protect the local movie industry. However, in 2009, the decision was relaxed to allow Salman Khan's 'Wanted' to open in the territory.


The superstar, who enjoys a large fan following around the world, said that his fans are his biggest strength and they keep motivating him. He said, "My fans are my biggest achievement and pride! I am what I am because of them."
Directed by Farhad Samji, 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' stars Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh Daggubati, Jagapathi Babu, Raghav Jual, Siddharth Nigam, Shehnaz Gill, Palak Tiwari and Vinali Bhatnagar.
Meanwhile, on the work front, fans in India are waiting to see the star in action in the upcoming film 'Tiger 3' that will see him reuniting with Shah Rukh Khan after 'Pathaan'. The actors will also soon begin work on their next big spy action film 'Tiger vs Pathaan' that will see the two locking horns on the big screen.
