Salman won’t be needed to attend the hearing.
The prosecution tried to re-examine the witness after defence advocate Srikant Shivde conducted a cross-examination in an attempt to show that the officer was not an expert witness. Special public prosecutor Pradeep Gharat made the application, saying that the witness’s replies were vague.
