Salman Khan and
Shah Rukh Khan's 'Tiger vs. Pathaan' was amongst the most anticipated lineups of the spy universe backed by Aditya Chopra. Fans of both superstars were waiting to watch the spectacle on the big screen. However, according to the latest development, the film has been shelved for the moment. Let's learn more about it.
'Tiger vs Pathaan' shelved?
According to the Deccan Chronicle report, 'Tiger vs Pathaan', which was one of the massive projects backed by Aditya Chopra in the spy universe, faced budget issues. Reportedly, the major challenge of the film was the remuneration of the superstars.
A source told the publication, "If both the Khans had agreed to take a discount, 'Tiger Versus Pathaan' could have been possible despite Yash Raj’s 'War 2' flopping. But the budgets being what they are, thanks mainly to star fees, the Spy Universe seems to have come up against a wall."
The concept of the film took birth after the massive success of Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan' in theaters.
The report further stated that the latest developments with respect to the project showcase that the film has been stalled before entering the production phase.
As per the publication, the production house cannot afford to pay Rs 100 crore to both superstars each, taking the project's budget to a huge amount. The source told the website that rising production costs, along with requirements for massive action sequences and other factors, have significantly increased the overall budget of the movie.
However, Aditya Chopra or the actors have not officially commented on these reports.
