Sanjay Leela Bhansali's highly anticipated web series 'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar' is all set for its release. Ahead of its big OTT debut, the director finally offered a glimpse into this elaborate world of Heeramandi with the release of the first song, 'Sakal Ban'.
Bhansali Productions shared the captivating video on their social media handles inviting viewers to, "Step into spring to celebrate the season of flowers, blossoming with beauty, strength, and grace!"

Aditi Rao Hydari, and Sharmin Segal, the track has been sung by Raja Hasan with backing vocals of Umesh Joshi, Vijay Dhuri, Shripad Lele, Amit Padhye, and Shahzad Ali.
The music video, featuring lavish period costumes, opulent sets and mesmerizing choreography, represents the signature brilliance and elegance associated with a Bhansali production.
In the nearly three-minute video, Manisha's character guides Sharmin to the courtyard where a gathering of women awaits. Richa's character initiates a graceful dance, paving the way for the ladies to join in. Aditi also lends her presence to the ensemble, culminating in an evening filled with dance and communal joy.
The song has lyrics penned by Amir Khusro and Kruti Mahesh and Vijayshree Chaudhary are the ones behind the choreography.
The series, featuring Sonakshi Sinha in a significant role, delves into the cultural tapestry of Heeramandi, an opulent district, by narrating the tales of mistresses and their customers amidst the backdrop of the Indian freedom movement in the 1940s. While the official streaming date of the show is yet to be announced, reports indicate that the series is eyeing an April window.
