'Saiyaara' star Aneet Padda joins Fatima Sana Shaikh and Arjun Mathur; courtroom drama in the making—reports

Aneet Padda is getting a lot of love for her hit romantic drama ‘Saiyaara,’ which introduced Ahaan Panday. After the movie did well on OTT, the actress signed a new film. According to reports, she will play a young survivor fighting for justice in the upcoming movie ‘Nyaya.’ It will also feature Fatima Sana Shaikh and Arjun Mathur in the lead roles.

According to Bollywood Bubble, Aneet signed a courtroom drama that will fight against injustice for women. She will be seen playing a victim who takes a brave stand against a spiritual leader who has misbehaved with her. Her character is central to the story and brings emotional depth to the narrative. It aims to highlight themes of justice, power imbalance, and courage. The movie will be directed by Nitya Mehra, of ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ and ‘Made in Heaven’ fame.

Aneet made her Bollywood debut in 2022 with the movie ‘Salaam Venky,’ co-starring Kajol. Even though her role was small, people liked her performance. In 2024, she played Roohi Ahuja in 'Big Girls Don’t Cry.' She got her big break when Mohit Suri, known for films like ‘Aashiqui 2’ and ‘Ek Villain,’ chose her as the lead opposite Ahaan Pandey in ‘Saiyaara.’ The film came out on July 18, 2025, and made Aneet famous across the country.
